The information I am
about to present comes from the book “The Alcohol Withdrawal Treatment
Manual,” by Paolo B. DePetrillo M.D. and Mark McDonough M.Ed. Dr. DePetrillo is board-certified in
internal medicine and clinical pharmacology and has treated more than 5,000
patients suffering from alcohol dependence and other substance abuse
problems. He is currently a Senior
Investigator at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
(NIAAA). Mark McDonough is a writer, educator, and software developer with a
Master’s Degree from Harvard University.
